Digital Communications Officer
 
WWF is the world's largest conservation organization, founded in 1961. We’re active in over 100 countries and
have over 8000 employees. WWF-Central and Eastern Europe is responsible for leading and to a significant
extent implementing WWF’s efforts to preserve, restore and sustainably manage the natural values of the
Danube Carpathian ecoregion, which we also call the Green Heart of Europe. With a team of over 230 highly
specialised professionals, we are working across political borders through an ecoregional approach based on
model projects, influencing policy, networking, capacity building, communication and crisis response.
As part of WWF-Central and Eastern Europe, WWF-Ukraine has built a solid record on conservation restoration
and sustainable management of natural resources with main focus on forests, freshwater, wildlife, public policy
and engagement.

We’re looking for a dedicated and creative professional to join the team as Digital Communications Officer.
Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager, the job holder will work towards enhancing effective
digital communications and helping us amplify WWF-Ukraine’s voice across digital platforms in line with the
organisational strategy.

Responsibilities:
General tasks
  • Take part in the elaboration and implementation of WWF-Ukraine’s digital strategy.
  • Align digital communications with internal regulations, brand and strategy.
  • Support and develop the online presence to ensure growth of engagement in the organizational ideas and projects.
  • Ensure effective planning and high engagement ratio through the application of online analytics (like GA).
  • Bring in practical knowledge on the most effective digital promotion tools on the market.
Development of WWF-owned digital channels
  • Support and develop WWF-Ukraine’s social media channels.
  • Develop structure and content of the major site and the ecosystem of online channels connected with the brand.
  • Control SEO-program and UX/UI standards.
  • Develop and implement the effective e-mail marketing strategy.
Development of digital products
  • Develop and adapt creative digital products or projects for online and other digital channels (involving video, infographics, interactive models and other tools).
  • Elaborate on the digital components of campaigns and projects, and especially in relation to Fundraising.
Partner network enhancement
  • Develop a network of online partnerships (like advertising, including pro-bono, cross-branding, collaborations, etc.).
  • Building a network of digital providers, including pro-bono.
The ideal candidate would have:
  • University degree and major qualifications in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or related field.
  • Additional trainings in digital communications.
  • At least 2 years of experience in directly contributing to and defining a digital strategy.
  • Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels.
  • Experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate.
  • Project management experience.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team
  • Highly creative and strategic thinker
  • A good visual sense and experience with visual communications and products
  • Fluency of written and spoken Ukrainian and English, and excellent ability to write, edit and proofread written materials in both languages.
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement.
  • Technologically savvy, including a solid knowledge of website analytics tools.
  • Interest and motivation in the area of nature protection.
  • Alignment and identification with the core values of WWF: Courage, Integrity, Respect and Collaboration and the relevant behaviors.
